Peanut Butter Noodle Sauce
Ancient Ing family recipe – enough for a pound or so of “noodoo”
Ingredients
- ¾ c. soy sauce
- 4 T. peanut butter
- 1 t. red pepper (I use red pepper flakes)
- ½ t. ginger (can use powdered)
- 4 T. sugar
- 2 t. wine or sherry
- ½ c. vegetable oil
- ½ c. water
- 1 t. black pepper
- 2 t. garlic (can use granulated)
Instructions
- 1
Blend together in saucepan and boil for 5 min.
Notes
For noodles, boil a pound of noodles and cool, then pour sauce, to taste, over noodles. Blanch sugar snap peas (the flat kind) and slice into long strips & mix in. Can also serve with scallions.
Original recipe called for additional ½ t garlic salt and ½ t salt, but I think the soy sauce is salty enough….
